It's been a long month. I've spent a lot of time in the hospital in the past couple of weeks, not for me but for my dad. Some bizarre condition that the doctors can't quite determine what it is but are instead focused on getting it stopped so he can go home. 4 weeks. That's a really long time to be in the hospital and just want to go home.
The days are long, the nights are not restful and the waiting...the waiting is the worst.
I have to admit I almost forgot to write this post. The days are just passing and I kind of lost track of where I was in the month. That is so easy to do, to lose track of time, forget where you are and what you need to do.
We need to do our self checks Sistahs!! I urge you to remind all the wonderful women in your life to do it to.
And I'm going to issue a little challenge...if you know of someone who is in the hospital, send them a card or if it's close enough to you, stop by for a visit. In the hospital the patients ache for normalcy and I can tell you first hand the wifi sucks and so does the cable tv, it gets really boring really fast.
Please brighten someone's day with the gift of a card or your time.
My wonderful Encouragement Squad is here today with lots of wonderful cards to inspire you to do your self checks! Let's take a look at all the pretties :)
Come back tomorrow to join us for a new Encouragement Challenge!
